The PARALLEL Bolster Cushion is a collaboration with the Baan Krua community, located along the Saen Saep Canal, Bangkok, which has a history spanning over 130 years, dating back to the traditional Cham weaving of pha kao mah and sarongs. With the growth of Bangkok city, the weaving community gradually disappeared, resulting in Khun Nipon’s house as the last remaining weaving house in Bangkok.

หมอนนี้เป็นการทำงานร่วมกับชุมชนบ้านครัวเหนือที่ตั้งอยู่ริมคลองแสนแสบ ซึ่งมีประวัติศาสตร์อันยาวนานกว่า 130 ปี นับตั้งแต่ยุคทอผ้าขาวม้าและผ้าโสร่งใช้ตามธรรมเนียมชาวจาม ด้วยการเติบโตของเมืองใหญ่ การทอผ้าในชุมชนได้หายไปเรื่อยๆจนเหลือเพียงบ้านของคุณลงนิพนธ์อยู่เพียงเจ้าเดียว
จากการเห็นคุณค่าของผ้าไหมไทยและความสำคัญเชิงประวัติศาสตร์ของชุมชนบ้านครัวเหนือ เราได้รังสรรค์สีผ้าไหมใหม่เพื่อสะท้อนจิตวิญญาณอันมีชีวิตชีวาของชุมชนและเป็นการเพิ่มสีสันให้กับบ้านของคุณ
